MY SPECIALTIES

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Individual sessions are a time for reflection and consideration of experiences which have led you to the present moment. We begin by considering functional impacts in the here and now, followed by pursuing historical events.

WORKPLACE STRESS

Industries where I have served: Healthcare, Hospitality, Service, Volunteerism

Regardless of your industry, the pressures of working in a productivity driven society  while being told to focus on your work/life balance are inevitably asynchronous. The conflicting values are a set up for stress and workplace dissatisfaction.

COUPLES THERAPY

Couples therapy is designed to explore communication styles and strategies, that both enhance and distance you from your partner. We each have core needs that often get misunderstood or skewed in daily exchanges, these sessions help to engage differently.

LIFE TRANSITIONS

Empty nest. First time parent. College. Moving. Starting a new job. Retirement. Starting a relationship. Ending a relationship. Increased health needs. Re-engaging with the world post-Covid. The milestones which mark significant change.

PERINATAL LOSS

Often considered a disenfranchised grief, the loss of a pregnancy, whether wanted or not, elicits a variety of emotions. We will take some time to talk about the pieces that were unique to your experience and where to go from here.

DEPRESSION

Depression manifests differently for each person. For some, it can look like struggling to get out of bed, for others, it is a feeling as if everything in life is lackluster. For some, it can be triggered by an event, and others, it can seem to have arisen from some unknown abyss. We will explore thought patterns and narratives which keep you feeling trapped in one place.

INFERTILITY

This is the space to vent and rail. This is the space to question. This is the space to hope and wonder. This subject is set up like a minefield, so we take time to learn where the triggers are that intensify an inherently challenging situation.

ANXIETY

Each person has a baseline level of mental health, some folks are prone to anxiety and learn how to welcome this part of self. Others, have anxiety that prevents action, and invites avoidance. We will start with grounding and mindfulness strategies and then explore what emerges as the tools are implemented.
